SHIFT BOOT W/METAL BRACKET

The DeLorean's original factory shift boot had a flimsy plastic frame to which the leather boot was glued. And some glue it was, too. It would hold even as the leather shrank, so much so that it would bend and eventually break the plastic frame, causing the boot to flop around. The new ones are made with a metal frame, and new leather with the correct stitching firmly glued in place. Simply unscrew the shift knob, and pull the old one off. Slip this one over the shifter rod and snap it firmly into place and re-install the shift knob. Easy.
