The DeLorean's original 80 amp Ducellier alternators used up to about VIN 4539 were underrated for the amperage requirements of the car and the factory moved to the 90 amp Motorola alternators which were good but in the past decade or so they are starting to fail and quality rebuild components are no longer available. It was at that time when we made the move to have our own, 120 amp, alternators made and they have proven themselves by providing excellent output at idle and speed.
