Reproduction Part is one that has been re-created using the factory engineering drawings, but with modern materials and techniques. These parts are only modified to improve functionality or simplify tooling and/or manufacturing.
Lots of times when the trip odometer reset shaft gets broken, the rest of the parts - this knob, this spacer and nut - are still attached to the piece that has been broken off. Sometimes these parts get put in the glovebox, coin tray or ashtray for safekeeping.
New trip reset shafts come with the nut, so that might be all you need.
