Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "copycat" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!
Neat to look at, but that's about it. Back in the day, the DeLorean dealers had a piece of equipment they could plug into this and it will tell them some very basic data. If any of those devices still exist, we haven't seen one. But if the one in your DeLorean is missing or damaged, and you won't sleep right unless you know it's there, we have them available.
