Improved Part is identical or similar to the original part, but improved in design, material or functionality.
Back in the very early 2000s, the supply of factory original window switches was exhausted. Our latest Power Window Switch reproductions have an improved internal switch mechanism and molded arrows that will never rub off, yet still look stock.
These new switches utilize the same factory wiring setup and are easy to install on your DeLorean, but are slightly longer than the originals. Depending on your car, this may require either the center console armrest cover (which may have bowed or sagged from use over the past 40+ years) to be braced internally and/or the fitting of one of our (easily installed) console switch plates, which also helps to get all the switches in proper alignment.
We also offer a version with non-illuminated arrows, which require no wiring modifications.
