Improved Part is identical or similar to the original part, but improved in design, material or functionality.
The original gas strut bracket, over time, begins to break free of the fiberglass, or break completely through in some cases. This can cause the door to fall due to lack of support. The combination of the torsion rod and the strut is what opens the door and keeps the door open. The replacement bracket covers more surface space, providing more structural support to handle the weight of the door and force of the strut.
Each kit comes with one oversized bracket that is side specific (LH or RH), three threaded backing plates for the interior and 5 bolts with washers. All parts come in stainless steel labeled for ease of identification during installation and come with illustrated instructions.
