Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "make-do" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
Improved Part is identical or similar to the original part, but improved in design, material or functionality.
Unfortunately, replacing these A-Post Trim pieces requires the windshield to be removed. So we recommend changing out both sides at the same time to avoid having to do all of the work over again later! Originals were made of ABS plastic and warp easily in the heat right next to the windshield. These are fiberglass (Made in the USA!) and extensively tested for fit and are covered in the correct vinyl.
