Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "copycat" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!
Though the later style exhausts (82 and 83 models) look different with their wider, slant cut tips, they are they exact same muffler and tailpipes. The factory cut off the old straight tips and welded these on in their place and now you can do it, too! Well, if you can weld or know someone who can.
