New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!
The subject of a factory recall back in the day, this switch acts to cut power to the fuel pump and unlock the doors (only the power locks are functional) in the event of a severe accident that would "jolt" the ball and magnet within this part. Known to failure from time to time and cause a mysterious "no-start" problem. Located in the driver's footwell, they are sometimes kicked and activated, too.
