TRAILING ARM BOLT WITH NUTS AND SHIMS (PAIR - INCONEL 718)

part was designated “Safety Critical” by the factory. As a result, this part required special materials, and records of inspection were required to demonstrate supplier compliance with design requirements. This DeLorean part meets or exceeds those requirements per factory documentation.

These Inconel trailing arm bolts come with a quantity of 4 each of our exclusive hardened and tempered 2mm and 3mm shims, offering the option of shimming in 1mm increments from 2-8mm.
Some DeLorean parts sellers also offer Inconel 718 trailing arm bolts but, as of this writing, no one else will publish (or likely even has done) independent, third-party metallurgical testing and published the results. We tested two samples (below) from our new trailing arm bolts along with the factory-specified 10.9 carbon steel bolt.

Testing was performed by Metallurgical Engineering Services, Richardson, Texas on September 27, 2023. Tensile testing was performed per ASTM F606 using. Satec Model: 120HVL, S/N 1263, with a calibration due date of April 5, 2024.
