COIN TRAY FOR EARLY SHIFTER PLATE

Here's a neat story. When the trouble-prone console clock was made obsolete by the later radios that had integrated clocks, the factory was left with thousands of the shifter panels with holes for a clock.

Rather than discard these panels, one of the DeLorean engineers developed a coin tray that would fit this hole that would allow them to still use these console plate in production. As the financial situation of the company became more dire, this part - though released for production - was never tooled or produced. We gave it a second chance!

If you have an early panel with a defective clock and your aftermarket stereo has a clock, this makes a great replacement!

Even better, though the later shifter console plates without a clock hole are no longer available, if yours is damaged, this is an ideal solution.
