Lots of places use our DeLorean part numbers as identifiers for their "cross-reference" or "copycat" parts, creating confusion in the marketplace. This 
New Original Stock, or NOS, part traces its origins back to 1982, when the DeLorean factory closed. In some cases, the part has traveled from the original supplier in the US to Dunmurry before making it's way to Ohio and finally Texas!
Many DeLoreans left the factory without this part, as it came along several months after production started as a running change. It's a bit of a chore to install, but if you have your console out (putting in a stereo, perhaps?) take a look at hole in the underbody where the shift mechanism protrudes. If it doesn't have this rubber part shown here fitted, you're getting extra heat and noise into the passenger cabin. Also available for automatic transmission cars under part number 110184.
